Patrick Mahomes Hints Taylor Swift Might Influence
Chiefs Playbook
In a recent interview with NFL analyst Chris Simms,
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes hinted that Taylor Swift's
burgeoning interest in football could potentially impact the team's playbook.
Swift, who is currently in a relationship with
Chiefs star Travis Kelce, has gained attention for her enthusiasm about the
sport. Mahomes, reflecting on Swift’s involvement, praised her genuine
curiosity and engagement with football.
“I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the
women that have really embraced watching football,” Mahomes said. “As a girl dad,
it’s inspiring to see little girls enjoying the game with their fathers.”
Mahomes further highlighted Swift’s genuine
interest in football, noting her enthusiasm and questions about the game.
“Meeting Taylor and realizing how genuine and cool she is has been special.
She’s interested in football, asks great questions, and even started drawing up
plays. We might have to put one in,” Mahomes added.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is known for his
open-minded approach, often allowing players to design and suggest plays. Given
Reid's willingness to consider new ideas, it wouldn’t be surprising if a play
conceived by Swift found its way into the Chiefs' game plan.
As Mahomes enters his eighth season with the
Chiefs, the team's dynamic continues to evolve, and Swift's involvement adds an
intriguing new dimension to their football narrative.
