A senior U.S. official informed Fox News that the U.S. military successfully intercepted "at least dozens" of Iranian drones heading towards Israel early Sunday local time, emphasizing that U.S. military operations are ongoing.

 

"U.S. forces in the region continue to intercept Iranian-launched drones targeting Israel. Our forces remain ready to provide additional defensive support and safeguard U.S. forces operating in the area," a U.S. military official informed Fox News.

 

Israel's sophisticated and multi-layered air defense systems reportedly neutralized 99% of the missiles launched by Iran, according to a senior Israeli official who vowed an "unprecedented" response.

 

Officials further stated that U.S. military assets in the region stand ready to intercept any missiles or drones aimed at the U.S. or its allies.

 

"The U.S. will not initiate strikes, but it will defend its allies. Any airborne threats will be neutralized," stated a senior U.S. military official.

 

Fox News also confirmed close coordination between the U.S. and regional allies Jordan and Egypt, with Jordan playing a pivotal role in intercepting projectiles aimed at Israel.

 

Authorities emphasized the importance of monitoring airspace activity, indicating ongoing vigilance in this regard.

 

Earlier on Sunday, Iran declared its attack "concluded," but cautioned that it would respond decisively to any nation allowing Israel to use its airspace for attacks against Iran.
