London, UK – The body of a newborn baby
was found in a bag outside All Saints Church in Notting Hill, west London, the
Metropolitan Police confirmed on Tuesday.
Officers were called to the scene on Powis Gardens at 12:46 GMT after a

attended, but the baby was declared dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet determined the baby’s gender or exact age, and
an investigation is ongoing. The police have launched urgent efforts to locate

extremely sad and shocking matter" and stressed the importance of finding
the mother as soon as possible.

“If you are the baby’s mother and are reading this, please come forward
to police or medical professionals,” Supt. Renowden urged. “You must feel very
frightened, but please let us help – we are really worried about you, and it is
vitally important you get medical assistance and support.”
A blue police tent has been erected at the scene as forensic officers
conduct their investigation. Authorities are also appealing to anyone who may
