Myrtle Beach police have reported a tragic incident at a beachfront
hotel in South Carolina, where shots were fired in a sixth-floor room at Hotel
Blue.
While no injuries were sustained from the gunfire, a man plunged nearly
six stories to his death in the aftermath, according to investigators.
The sequence of events unfolded early Sunday when shots rang out in a
sixth-floor room at the hotel. In an attempt to flee the scene, a man rushed
out onto the balcony and attempted to scale down the building. However,
tragically, he fell during the descent, sustaining massive trauma to his upper
body.
Despite efforts to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries shortly
after being transported to a hospital, as confirmed by the Horry County
Coroner’s Office.
Authorities have since identified all parties involved in the shooting
incident and have recovered the firearm used. While details regarding potential
charges remain undisclosed, the investigation into the incident is ongoing,
according to law enforcement officials.
