PARIS, France – Olympics fans are
in a social media meltdown after a photo of French diver Jules Bouyer in tight
swimming trunks went viral, overshadowing his athletic preparations for the
2024 Paris Games.
Bouyer, a 22-year-old from Annecy, is set to compete for gold in the
men's synchronized 3m springboard final on Friday, alongside teammate Alexis
Jandard. Both divers have attracted considerable attention for their looks
since the opening ceremony, with Bouyer also preparing for the individual 3m
springboard event next week.
However, a snapshot of Bouyer showering poolside has taken the internet
by storm. The image, showing him in a pair of very tight swimming trunks that
accentuate his physique, has left fans speechless and eager to share their
reactions.
Social media users have been quick to comment on Bouyer's viral moment.
One fan quipped, "The only reason I love the Olympics," while another
joked, "I just really hope his speedo is getting paid time and a
half." A third admirer wrote, "He fills out a speedo very well,"
and a fourth added, "Those Speedos are working overtime at this point."
Another simply declared the French diver as "perfect."
Despite the attention, Bouyer has avoided the kind of embarrassing
wardrobe malfunction that occurred during the opening ceremony. A user on X
pointed out that one performer had an X-rated mishap when their testicle was
visible as the cameras panned across.
Bouyer began diving at the age of six and joined the senior French
team's training camp in 2020. He secured the titles of Junior European and
Junior World champion in 2021, earning his spot at the Paris Olympics.
As the competition heats up, all eyes remain on Bouyer, not just for his
diving skills but also for the viral photo that has captured the imagination of
Olympics fans worldwide.
